Echo Sessions is a cutting edge concert series blending Jazz, Contemporary Music and Collective Improvisation into resonant, spontaneous performances. To projects who play those concerts will be offered up to three days Residency at Sounds, right before playing preparing and researching for the performance. The idea is that during those three days of Residency, artists can prepare material for the performance, trying out things, pushing the boundaries considering that the audience of Echo Sessions are mostly interested in these kinds of music. After the concerts there will be a Jam Session. ------------------ Ornella Noulet is a French saxophoKreis, Ocean Eddie, and Kin Gajohas a versatile background in jazz, having played bebop, west coast, and modal jazz. These past years, she also focused on free improvisation and sound research. Noulet has also been involved in several collaborative projects : OLA TUNJI, duos with Egon Wolfson and Jeanne Susin. Stan Maris is a Belgian accordionist and composer, primarily active in the jazz and improvised music scene. He co-leads several ensembles, including Kreis, Ocean Eddie, and Kin Gajo, and has collaborated with notable musicians such as Sofia Jernberg, Joe Talia, Clara Levy and others.
