In a cosy yet mysterious world, Sophie and Julien create a welcoming atmosphere with a series of intimate songs, some soft, some lively. And so we embark on a journey of questioning and observation about our inner experiences and our need to express them. Bloutch shares this precious complicity with its audience, fostering a moment of exchange and interaction where artists and children feed off each other. Bloutch's musical universe is composed of diverse influences: we sail between Colombian cumbia, Réunionese sega, Cape Verdean coladeira, allowing ourselves little detours to the Balkans and Brazil. On stage, Sophie and Julien blend their voices and instruments; drums, guitar and accordion rub shoulders with Indian harmonium and West African n'goni, inviting young and old alike to dance and sing. Children wander through language games, an invitation to ‘inhabit’ their own bodies, a cathartic moment of collective dance, an observation on the contagiousness of our moods, a satire of our constantly busy society, the wonder of holding a baby close, or an ode to our need to ‘get out’.
